1. If you think we might have information regarding your origin or birth family please make an initial call to:
   T: 028 9073 6080.
2. A member of Origins staff will return your call to clarify your request. You will be asked to provide dates, history and what your relationship is to the records you are seeking.
3.  We will carry out a preliminary check of our records and database.
4. If we do not hold the records you are seeking we will try to redirect you to another source of information.
5. If we are able to locate your records we will contact you to explain your right of access and arrange a meeting either in-person, via video call or by phone to go through your story.
6. We will provide support and counselling throughout the process and can act as an intermediary if you wish to try and reconnect with a biological relative.

If you are a social worker contacting us we will check for a requested file and if we have it we will arrange access.
